When Omar Boraie first started Boraie Development, he had just completed his master’s degree which he was pursuing at a university in New Brunswick. After completing his studies, the last thing he wanted to do was get employed and be enumerated in equal or lesser measure than his undergraduate counterparts. Therefore, he decided to take the longer path and start a career in real estate. He started out working as a real estate agent. But, with time he saved enough to start his own business. With the experience he had obtained from his first job, and the contacts that he had built, he started Boraie Development.

According to Central Jersey Working Moms, Omar Boraie started Boraie Development LLC as a rehabilitation business. He noticed that downtown New Brunswick had so many dilapidated building that not only made the city ugly, but also contributed to insecurity in the area. He noted that people were not able to freely stroll downtown New Brunswick when darkness came. Therefore, he decided to purchase all the dilapidated building and rehabilitate them.

Most people who knew his intentions thought that he was insane. They did not expect that anyone could be making profits out of those no-good buildings. But, when his first project, of rehabilitating 20 buildings, was complete, people were talking a different language. Not only was he getting money renting and leasing these spaces, but he had also managed to make the city brighter. The city was illuminated by his building and people could walk freely at any time of the night.

According to Patch, from rehabilitating dilapidated buildings, Omar Boraie got into the business of building office spaces. He realized that the city did not have adequate commercial rental spaces and saw an opportunity for his company. This was followed by construction of residential properties. And, in no time, Omar Boraie was tapping into the luxurious real estate market, building properties that were all about luxury.
